Fluconazole
Antifungal
A triazole antifungal drug used to treat and prevent various systemic and mucosal fungal infections, including candidiasis and cryptococcal meningitis. It works by inhibiting fungal cytochrome $P_{450}$ enzymes, which disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. It is well-absorbed orally and has good distribution into bodily fluids.
