Another proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat conditions involving gastric acid secretion, such as GERD, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Like other PPIs, it achieves a powerful and long-lasting reduction of stomach acid by blocking the proton pump. Rabeprazole is known for its rapid onset of action and is often used as part of combination therapy to eradicate H. pylori bacteria.
