Beta-Lactamase Inhibitor
A potent beta-lactamase inhibitor that irreversibly binds to and deactivates bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes. It is always co-formulated with a beta-lactam antibiotic, such as Ampicillin or Cefoperazone, to protect the antibiotic from enzymatic degradation and extend its spectrum of activity against resistant bacteria. It is crucial in treating serious hospital-acquired infections.
