A humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to the complement protein C5. It inhibits the cleavage of C5 into C5a and C5b, preventing the formation of the terminal complement complex. Used for Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria ($\text{PNH}$) and atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.
